I stopped selling feature lists.
I used to explain software by talking about its functions.
Today, I take a different approach.
Because ultimately, customers are not interested in whether software has feature A or function B. They are interested in solving their problem.
For example, if returns occur because items are picked incorrectly, simply demonstrating new functions achieves very little.
We first need to talk about the process.
Only when we know where the errors occur can software demonstrate its real value.
That is why I no longer begin with a feature list.
I begin with a question:
What problem do we want to solve together?
